Dimensions of a padel court
The padel court has a playing area consisting of a rectangle 10 metres wide by 20 metres long inside, which would make 200m², with a tolerance of 0.5% in these measurements. This rectangular space is divided in half by a net, creating two symmetrical playing areas for both teams.
On both sides of the net, parallel to it, are the service lines, located at a distance of 6.95 metres. These lines delimit the service area where the serves are made.
The area between the net and the service lines is divided in half by a line perpendicular to the service lines, known as the centre service line. This line extends 20 centimetres beyond the service line. Its function is to divide the area between the net and the service lines into two equal zones for each team.
All the lines on the padel court are 5 centimetres wide and it is recommended that they are of a colour that contrasts clearly with the colour of the floor, generally white or black, to ensure good visibility during play.
It is important to note that both the surfaces and the line layout should be symmetrical on both halves of the court, thus ensuring a level playing field for both teams.
